While in the custody of Straight, Inc.  I was cut off from the outside world, forbidden to send or receive mail or make phone calls.  During my treatment I was beaten, sexually molested and ridiculed on an almost daily basis.  I had to take oaths of silence regarding anyone and any activity within the program.  Each evening before dinner we would recite a litany of rules some of which were rather long and convoluted.  Failure to know and follow these rules to the letter resulted in punishment that ranged from verbal abuse to physical torture and isolation.
