And yet another beta of yet another FTP client.

Visicom media released version 2 (beta) of their FTP client AceFTP. I used AceFTP 1 for a while and was quite taken by it. AceFTP allows you to open several sessions with several servers and initiate multiple simultaneous transfers. The integrated viewer, cached directories and handling of interrupted file transfer features save you precious time. The only drawback was its site manager or rather its lack of a site manager really. Version 2 has a great site manager, a cool interface with loads of options and yet it remains simple and easy to use.

Oh and before I forget ... yes it has an import function so you can import all your sites from AceFTP 1 :)

I recieved this via email on January 19th from Ipswitch WS_FTP Pro 7.0 Beta 3 is out for a public beta test WS_FTP Pro supports a newer interface, but its not much different from the one we have been used to since WS_FTP 4.x versions, improved Host's support and numerous updates have kept this client a clear winner above the rest as far as simplicity goes for Windows FTP clients. The only feature --greatly missed is the ability to import 6.x ini files, so if you have alot of sites stored of which you no longer remember the passwords too you will find it difficult to say the least in upgrading to 7.0 apart from that, it looks tidy and is easy to configure.
