Last Post
And in closing... - 10:27pm [Ferrex]
In recent days and weeks, the Codex has been faltering. It has done this before (frequently) but always recovered soon after.
Well, not this time.
After a year and a half of being a Myth webmaster, I'm making my final post. It's been a long run, but a good one, and I'm pleased to have been a part of it all. While I will remain a part of the community, making maps and futzing about, there's just no more time to maintain an acceptable website anymore. It'll be strange, not having a site to care for, but we'll get used to it.
I had something eloquent to say, but now I've forgotten it. Go figure.
The Codex will, out of courtesy to forum users, stay up for another week or so--patrons of our forums can find an excellent set of them at the Townhall, which, along with Mythology, will also easily sate your news needs.
Like other greats before it, the Codex returns to the ether. Last page turned, and all that silly nonsense. It has been a pleasure working with you all, and I look forward to doing it all again some time...
Cheers,
Ferrex

Maramyth Demo Near Completion
A rival Marathon conversion project sends word - 10:58pm [Malory]
The Maramyth crew sends word that a demo is near completion:
Often you have heard from us that we will get the demo out for
Maramyth real soon now™ but this time we actually have made the demo we are
just testing it before public release. As I recall Bungie delayed its
release of Marathon 4 months, a monolith compared to a meager 3 weeks of
push back on Maramyth. Anyway this is what you can hope to see in the
demo: 4 TC(total conversion) maps, which are Bungie maps with maramyth
textures and maramyth units. Maramyth Pool Party, a fun map modeled after
the late VRPP. Angles an innovative new map made by Tychomax. Half way
threw our project we had the misery to hear that a certain El Bastard was
making a Maramyth map without working with us, but rather to compete with
us. Rumors of him stealing resources from our hotline server are
completely untrue I assure you, and we see this as just another push to
make the Maramyth Project as professional as possible.
Wait till you see the demo woooweee then the *#&$ gona' hit the fan...
-CyberHunter on behalf of the Maramyth crew
As CyberHunter mentions, there seem to currently be two different Marathon to Myth conversions in progress (Maramyth and El Bastard's). Which one will be released first and which one will turn out to be more popular still remains to be seen, but stay tuned.

I'll S'pht on Your Grave Officially Released!
... and only a hint of better things to come - 10:50pm [Malory]
The public release announcemnt of ISOYG that Ferrex mentioned below has recently been received from El Bastard. I'll S'pht on Your Grave has been officially released. For those of you that don't know, it is in the vein of a complete Marathon to Myth conversion and, while I have not had the chance to test the final product yet (you can be sure I'll be ending my Myth hiatus to try this one out), it promises to be a completely new experience akin to how WW2 : Recon changed the Myth world.
I'll S'pht On Your Grave...
The scheduled beatings have paid off, and ISOYG is now available for
download. Currently one map is available (6 meshes) to play with the
units. Instead of using valuable news space to inform on the proper
usage of these tags - I'll direct you right to the webpage. Now all of the
carnage I have been promising will be able to be experienced by all, so
stop what you are doing, and go...
It's on it's ::??way:: should arrive in several ::??months
??years:: The Mark IV ::??cyborg ??organism:: is alive and moving.
Before the Nova there was another ::??time:: another ::??mission::
It is on its... 1#%^@mk.4@*!#$
disconnected - please try again later...
What is the significance of the latter part of El B's message, you ask? A little bird told me it is a sign of much greater things to come...
The download links are also available here:
Marathon Tagset(4882k)
ISOYG(478k)
You'll need to download both files in order to use the map.

I'll S'pht on Your Grave
Marathon to Myth conversion released - 9:34pm [Ferrex]
Kudos to El B, who tuned me in on HL... word on I'll S'pht on Your Grave, El B and Co.'s new Myth to Marathon conversion has been posted at Vista's site.
As I have yet to play it myself, so I'm in no position to comment, but it looks rather interesting. The FC version is in testing, meaning it's should be out soon (unless someone finds a serious enough bug to warrant a bug fix). Stay tuned for a public release announcement...

Amber 2 b4
Collection editor beta released - 8:06pm [Ferrex]
As Vodi announced at the Vista site, the much anticipated Amber 2 collection editor has been released for beta testing.
Amber 2, like it's predecessor, is a Myth collection editor, this version designed for Myth II. Collection editors are the tools used to create sprites, edit graphics, and play with existing sets--you get the picture. Invaluable for Myth II map makers, and certain to become a universal tool.

Myth:TFL Ranked
The public has spoken... - 6:18pm [Ferrex]
... and voted roughly 75% in favor of keeping b.net1 ranked for Myth I players. Certainly a victory for disgruntled Myth:TFL fans, and perhaps a forerunner to future Bungie opinion polls?
Either way, the players have their icons back, for better or worse. May the games go on for a few months yet!

Demo Updated?
Bug fixes applied to demo - 6:08pm [Ferrex]
According to a news item on the Townhall, the Myth II Demo has apparently been updated. No point in re-posting the item, so stop by and take a look.
