Follow these simple steps to apply for your free Personal Home Page, and your free Email account in GeoCities. Step 1 - Browse the Neighborhood Directory and choose a neighborhood in which to build your home page. Choose a neighborhood based on the theme of your home page, not its proximity to where you live. If you have trouble deciding which neighborhood is best for the theme of your page, you may use our Interest Grid to help match your interest to a neighborhood theme. Step 2 - Find a vacant address in the correct neighborhood. We now have two ways to find a vacancy in the neighborhood of your choice. Recommended:Go to the main page of the neighborhood that you selected in "Step 1" above, and choose "Join this Neighborhood". This will transfer you to a page with more details about the neighborhood and show you where to find vacant addresses. Click on one of the choices listed and follow the link to the neighborhood block page Locate a house that says "vacant" next to it. Beginning from the neighborhood's main page, you may search through the numbered address blocks by selecting one of the choices listed underneath "Explore the Suburbs". Select one of the numbered address blocks to see a listing of the residents in the neighborhood. Locate a house that says "vacant" next to it. Step 3 - Click on a vacant house and transfer to the application form Choose the type of membership for which you'd like to sign up Complete the rest of the form and be sure to enter the correct e-mail address Once the application form is accepted, you will receive an E-Mail confirming your application information, and giving you a password for use in creating your own Personal Home Page. You are then able to use our File Manager Utility to create your Personal Home Page or submit your custom Home Page and GIFs/JPGs using our EZ File Upload Utility.
